MINUTES FORSYTH COUNTY CIVIL SERVICE BOARD REGULAR MEETING  THURSDAYJANUARY 12, 2023 @ 10:00 A.M. FORSYTH COUNTY BENEFITS & RECRUITMENT OFFICE 514 West Maple Street, Suite 304, Cumming, GA 30040  PRESENT: Tim Perry, Chairman; Jerry Bowman, Vice Chairman; Terry Smith; Member; Jack  Allen, Alternate Member; Richard Neville, Counsel; Kathy Echols, Clerk  I.  Call Meeting to Order  Chairman Perry called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.  II. Adoption of Agenda  There was a motion to adopt the agenda as presented by Terry Smith with a second by  Jerry Bowman. Motion passed unanimously.  II. Adoption of Minutes  Regular Meeting - December 8, 2022 Terry Smith. Motion passed unanimously. IV. Items for consideration and discussion:  There was a motion to adopt the minutes as presented by Jerry Bowman with a second by  (1) Appointment of the Civil Service Board Clerk  There was a motion by Terry Smith with a second by Jerry Bowman that Kathy Echols be appointed Civil Service Board Clerk. Motion passed unanimously. (2) Appointment of the Civil Service Board General Counsel/Hearing Officer There was motion by Terry Smith with a second by Jerry Bowman that Richard Neville be appointed Civil Service Board General Counsel. Motion passed (3) Attorney Updates - Richard Neville, General Counsel/Hearing Officer (4) Administrative Updates - Kathy Echols, Civil Service Board Clerk Ms. Echols stated an informal appeal had been filed from a Sheriff's Office employee. The employee did not file a formal appeal.  unanimously. No updates  V. Executive Session (ifneeded) No Executive Session was held.
