The monthly fee fort the streetlights are to be billed by Snapping Shoals EMC tol Rockdale County, with the associated. fees to be paid by the property owners within the district boundaries as depicted on the attached map. Also, Rockdale County Board ofCommissioners is to authorize the Rockdale CountyTax Commissioner to levy fees upon each lot within the district to cover the monthly street light charge  of$146.30 ($67.05 per parcel/peryear)  2.01379    Resolution #2024-  Street Light District Resolution  AJ Resolution providing for thei installation of street lights and the assessment oft the annual cost  ofmaintaining and operating said lights against abutting property.  WHEREAS, Section 332-40 et seq, of the Rockdale County Code ofOrdinances provides for the creation ofs street light districts by petition from property owners in Rockdale County and for the cost ofinstallation and maintenance ofs said street lights to be borne by the  lots and lot owners oft the affected property; and  WHEREAS, the owner(s) ofi more than 50 percent of thej property affected by the hereinafter described improvements have petitioned the Board of Commissioners of] Rockdale County, Georgia, for the 11 street lights at Stafford Glen Street Light District; and  WHEREAS, the Rockdale County Department of Transportation has reviewed said petition and determined that the: requested improvements are: not located within an established street light district and a new street light district would be required for its implementation; NOW THEREFORE BE: IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of Rockdale County, Georgia; as the governing body of said county, that there be and there is hereby created and established within the area of Rockdale County, Stafford Glen Street Light Distriet, for the purpose of establishing, maintaining and operating street lights and lamps for the illumination oft the public streets, roads, sidewalks and ways therein, as more particularly shown and delineated on map entitled, Stafford Glen, which map is attached. hereto and made aj part of  this resolutions by reference; and  BEI ITI FURTHER RESOLVED, that the boundaries ofs said district as depicted on said map be and the same are. hereby established as shown and delineated on said map as: full and complete as ift the full legal description oft the courses, distances and boundaries of said district  were fully set forth herein; and  BEI IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the annual cost and charges for the maintenance and operation of said street lights shall not bel less than $67.05 per parcel, per year and shall be a lien upon the abutting property annually from January 1st next year and continuing each year  thereafter as. long as such street lights remain inj place.  ITIS ORDERED that a copy oft this resolution, together with a copy of said map be transmitted to the Tax Commissioner ofRockdale County, Georgia, for the collection of any and all service charges which may be imposed against any and all businesses, residents and property  served by said facilities.    BEITFORTHER RESOLVED, that any resolution in conflict with this resolution is  hereby repealed,  Adopted this  day of  2024.
