Board of Voter Registrations & Elections Computation & Canvassing of the March 12, 2024 Presidential Preference Primary March 12, 2024 at7 p.m. to continue until completed at the Voter Registrations & Elections Office 1201 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, GA 30040  MINUTES  Present at the meeting: Barbara Luth, Chairman Joel Natt, Vice Chairman Carla Radzikinas, Secretary Anita Tucker, Assistant Secretary Dan Thalimer, Member 1. Call to Order  Dr. Jan Johnston, Georgia State Election Board Member  Chairman Luth called the meeting to order 7:08 p.m. with all members present. 2. Computation and Canvassing of votes, to continue day to day until completed (O.C.G.A. 21-2-493(a)) (due to the nature of the canvassing function, the Board will be moving and active, and may intermittently separate out of and return to a quorum. No votes or action will be taken Vice Chairman Natt with a second from Secretary Radzikinas made a motion to recess at 7:09 p.m. for computation and canvassing of the March 12, 2024 Presidential Preference Primary. Motion carried unanimously. 3. Board approval to post Unofficial and Incomplete Election Results Chairman Luth called the meeting back to order at 10:46 p.m. to validate the Unofficial and Incomplete Results pending clearing provisional ballots and certification. Vice Chairman Natt reported 8,956 Election Day, 13,020 Absentee in Person and 746 Absentee By Mail for a total of 22,722 votes cast which is a turnout of 14.04%. Total Republican votes were 19,730, with the top two candidates Donald J. Trump with 16,038 votes and Nikki Haley with 3,154 votes. Total of Democratic votes were 2,748 with the top two candidates Joseph R. Biden with 2,506 and  while performing this canvassing function).  Marianne Williamson with 160 votes.  4. Adjourn  Vice Chairman Natt with a second from Chairman Luth made a motion to adjourn  at 10:50 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
