MINUTES  FORSYTH COUNTY CIVIL SERVICE BOARD REGULAR MEETING THURSDAYJUNE 8, 2023 @ 10:00. A.M. FORSYTH COUNTY PUBLIC SAFETY COMPLEX 3520 Settingdown Road, Cumming, GA 30028  Present: Tim Perry, Chairman; Jerry Bowman, Vice Chairman; Terry Smith, Member; Jack Allen, Alternate Member; Richard Neville, Counsel; Kathy Echols, Clerk  I.  Call Meeting to Order  Chairman Perry called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.  II. Adoption of Agenda  There was a motion by Terry Smith with a second by Jerry Bowman to amend the agenda to postpone item (3) under "IV. Items for consideration and discussion" to the July 2023  meeting. Motion passed unanimously.  III. Adoption of Minutes  Regular Meeting - May 11, 2023 as presented. Motion passed unanimously. IV. Items for consideration and discussion:  There was motion by Jerry Bowman with a second by Terry Smith to adopt the minutes  (1) Attorney Updates - Richard Neville, General Counsel/Hearing Officer (2) Administrative Updates - Kathy Echols, Civil Service Board Clerk Ms. Echols informed the Board there were two informal appeals filed. Neither (3) Amend Civil Service Board Policy 2, Section 2 (c)(2) - Board consideration to revise Item (3) was postponed to the. July Civil Service Board meeting under the Adoption (4) Amend Civil Service Board Policy 2, Section 3 (d)-) Board consideration to change There was a motion by Terry Smith with a second by Jerry Bowman to amend the Civil Service Board Policy 2, Section 3 (d) to move the election ofofficers from July  There were no updates. progressed to a formal appeal. the method of conducting elections ofthe Agenda portion oft the meeting. the officer election from July to October tol December.
