MINUTES  FORSYTH COUNTY CIVIL SERVICE BOARD THURSDAY,JULY: 13, 2023 @ 10:00 A.M. FORSYTH COUNTY PUBLIC SAFETY COMPLEX 3520 Settingdown Road, Cumming, GA 30028  REGULAR MEETING  Present: Tim Perry, Chairman; Jerry Bowman, Vice Chairman; Terry Smith, Member; Richard Neville, Counsel; Kathy Echols, Clerk; Absent: Jack. Allen, Alternate Member Also Present: Zachary Archer, Steve Wasley, Tim Buckley, Steve Leibel  I.  Call Meeting to Order  Chairman Perry called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.  II. Adoption of Agenda  There was ai motion by Terry Smith with a second to adopt the agenda as presented.  Motion passed unanimously. III. Adoption of Minutes  Regular Meeting -June 8, 2023 as presented. Motion passed unanimously. IV. Items for consideration and discussion:  There was a motion by Jerry Bowman with a second by Terry Smith to adopt the minutes  (1) Attorney Updates - Richard Neville, General Counsel/Hearing Officer (2) Administrative Updates - Kathy Echols, Civil Service Board Clerk Ms. Echols stated an update was needed for Item IV (4). (3) Appeal of termination of Zachary Archer, Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Appeal hearing scheduled for September 7th and gth (ifn needed) Discussion was held. There was a motion by Terry Smith with a second by Jerry Bowman to move. the Civil Service Board regular meeting of September 14tht to September 7th at 9:00 a.m. with the hearing at 9:30 a.m. and September gth at 9:30 (4) Amend Civil Service Board Policy 2, Section 2 (c)(2)- Board consideration to revise the method ofc conducting elections (postponed from the. June 8, 2023 meeting) There was a motion by Terry Smith with a second by Jerry Bowman to postpone this  There were no updates.  a.m. Motion passed unanimously.  item to the August meeting.
