REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING  May 17,2021 5:301 P.M.  Thel Haleyville City Council met in Regular Session in the Courtroom at the  5:301 P.M. onl May 17,2021. Councilman Jonathan Bennett provided thei invocation. Haleyville City Hall at Mayor Ken Sunseri called the meeting to order and stated the following members were present: Mayor Ken Sunseri, Councilmember Brian Berry, Councilmember Jonathan Bennett, Councilman Drew Thrasher, and Councilmember Julie "Boo" Brooks. Absent Councilmember Blue Russell. Acting City Clerk Christy Harbin was present. Councilmember. Jonathan Bennett made a motion for approval oft the Regular Council minutes of May 3, 2021 and his motion was seconded by Councilmember Drew Thrasher. Meeting Mayor Sunseri asked all members of the council in favor to indicate Councilmember Brian Berry, Councilmember Drew Thrasher, and Councilmember Bennett, Julie Councilmember Drew Thrasher made a motion for immediate consideration of General Obligation bills and PO'sin the amount of $549,852.31 and councilmember April Jonathan 2021 Bennett seconded the motion. Mayor Sunseri asked all members of the council in indicate by saying yea and all members voting were: Mayor Ken Sunseri, Councilmember favor to Jonathan Bennett, Councilmember Brian Berry, Councilmember Drew Thrasher, and Councilmember Julie "Boo" Brooks. Councilmember Drew Thrasher made aj motion for approval of April 2021 General Obligation bills and PO's in the amount of $549,852.31 and councilmember Jonathan Bennett seconded the motion. As part oft the $183,475.75, project cost of $30,104.00 will be spent on grant engineering design inspection and will be awarded to The Cassady Company, Inc. upon approval from the Alabama Department of Transportation and Councilmember Brian Berry seconded the motion.
