Hearing none, Chairman Brownell Allegiance. continued with the Consent Agenda. The Board continued with the Consent Agenda items: Approval oft the Minutes of the February 20, 2024, meeting. Acknowledgement oft the receipt of the Treasurer's Report for the month of. January 2024. Commissioner McBride moved to approve the Consent Agenda. Commissioner Sonnenberg seconded, and the motion carried, 3-0. Chairman Brownell continued with New Business: Commissioner Sonnenberg moved to accept the bid for the purchase ofa Caterpillar 950 Wheel Loader from Wagner Equipment Company for the Logan County Road and Bridge Department in the amount of $310,289.00 with options. Commissioner McBride seconded and the motion carried, 3-0. The Board opened bids for the 2024 Asphalt Overlay program. Four bids were received: PEXCO - Asphalt Milling: $2.80/Square Yard; Hot Bituminous Paving Grading SX: $185/Ton Holcim - WCR, Inc. - Asphalt Milling: $2.50/Square Yard; Hot Bituminous Paving Grading SX: $132.50/Ton Martin Marietta - Asphalt Milling: $1.60/Square Yard; Hot Bituminous Paving Grading SX: $136.60/Ton McAtee Construction Co. dba Simon: $1.15/Square Yard; Hot Bituminous Paving Grading SX: $153/Ton Commissioner McBride moved to accept the bids and: refer them to Jeff Reeves ofLogan County Road and Bridge Department for a recommendation back to the Board. Commissioner Sonnenberg seconded, and the The Board opened bids for the lease of four shares of the Sterling Irrigation Company for the 2024 season. One bid was received from Alan Gentz in the amount of $255 per share, $1,020 for the 2024 growing season. Commissioner Sonnenberg moved to award the bid to Alan Gentz in the amount of $255 per share/$1,020 per for the 2024 growing season. Commissioner McBride seconded, and the motion carried, 3-0. Commissioner McBride moved to approve a petition for abatement oft taxes on behalfof Shirley J. Unrein in the amount of$14,863.32. Commissioner Sonnenberg seconded. and the motion carried, 3-0. Rob Quint of the Logan County Planning and Zoning Department corrected the agenda for Resolution 2024-6 which amends Resolution 2024-5 which had the property leased from leased from State of Colorado, State Board ofLand Commissioners. Thej property is leased from Becki Dick. The resolution is correct, it is just the agenda that is incorrect. Mr. Quint went on to explain the correction to the resolution which brings the Commissioner Sonnenberg moved to approve Resolution 2024-6 which amends Resolution 2024-5 to correct equipment height to eleven feet for a Special Use Permit for construction, maintenance and operation ofa Solar Energy Facility operated by CBEP Solar 33, LLC consisting of solar modules mounted to single axis tracking racks, associated electrical equipment including inverters, transformers, combiners, and other equipment with total production not to exceed five (5) megawatts, to be developed and construction to be completed by the second quarter of2 2025, located on a 50.02-acre parcel, more or less, leased from Becki Dick, in the Northeast Quarter (NE1/4) of Section 1, Township 7 North, Range 53 West oft the 6th Principal Meridian, Logan County, Rob Quint of the Logan County Planning and Zoning Department introduced the CBEP Solar 24, LLC renewable energy project that has applied for a Special Use Permit. Konnar Klinksiek of Cloudbreak Energy Commissioner McBride moved to approve Resolution 2024-7 granting Special Use Permit (SUP) #239 for the construction, maintenance and operation ofa Solar Energy Facility operated by CBEP Solar 24, LLC, consisting of solar modules mounted to single axis tracking racks, associated electrical equipment including inverters, transformers, combiners, and other equipment, with total production not to exceed 2.0: megawatt (ac), tol be developed and construction to be completed by the second quarter of year 2025, located on a 80.88 acre parcel, more or less, leased from Jan Lebsack, John Lebsack, Beverly Williams, Joyce Lebsack, James Lebsack, Erika Mertens, and Kenton Lebsack, in the North Half(N1/2) of Section 2, Township 7 North, Range 52 West oft the 6th Principal Meridian, Logan County, Colorado.
