Aurora, Nebraska May 14,2024 A meeting of thel Mayor and Council of the City of Aurora, Nebraska, was convened in open and public session at 7:30 p.m. onl May 14, 2024 at the City Hall. Present were Councilors: Paul Lackore, Wayne Roblee, Daniel Bartling, Dick Phillips and Nancy Lohrmeyer. Mayor Marlin Seeman conducted the meeting. City Officials present were City Administrator Eric Melcher, City Attorney Ross Luzum, Chief of Police Paul Graham, Public Works Director Adam Notice of said meeting was given by publication in the Aurora News Register on May 8,2024. Notice of meeting was simultaneously given to the Mayor and all members of the Council and a copy of their acknowledgment of receipt of notice and the agenda is attached to these minutes. Availability oft the agenda oft this meeting was communicated in the advance notice and in the notice to the Mayor and Council. Absent and not Claims Committee Member Lohrmeyer reported the claims presented by the Clerk were in order and moved that said claims be allowed and checks drawn on the various funds for payment of same be approved. PUBLIC HEARING: Mayor Seeman opened the duly advertised public hearing to receive public comments regarding Preliminary Plat of Streeter's Fifth. Addition, an addition to the City of Aurora, a part of thel Northeast Quarter (NEY4), Section Five (5), Township Ten (10) North, Range Six (6) West of the 6th P.M., Hamilton County, Nebraska. Mayor Seeman asked ifthere was anyone present who wished to speak in support oft the proposed recommendation. Zoning Administrator Darbro stated the Planning Commission recommended approval of the preliminary plat. The Mayor then askedi ift there was anyone present who wished to speak in opposition to the proposed recommendation and there was no one. There being no one else present to speak ini favor of or opposition to the proposed recommendation Mayor Seeman Councilor Lackore moved to accept the recommendation of the Planning Commission to approve the request from Streeter, LLC1 for the Preliminary Plat of Streeter's] Fifth Addition, an addition tot the City of Aurora, aj part of the Northeast Quarter (NE4), Section Five (5), Township Ten (10)) North, Range Six (6) West of the 6th P.M., Hamilton County, Nebraska. North, Range Six (6) West of the 6th P.M., Hamilton County, Nebraska. Mayor Seeman asked ift there was anyone present who wished to speak in opposition of the proposed recommendation and there was no one. The Mayor then asked ift there was anyone present who wished to speak in support oft the proposed recommendation and there was no one. There being no one present to speak in favor of or opposition to the proposed recommendation Mayor Seeman declared Councilor Roblee moved to approve Resolution 24-23 approving the Final Plat for Streeter's Fifth Addition. Aurora Planning Commission and the Aurora City Council havel held public hearings toi receive public input regarding the Preliminary Plat and the Final Plat of Streeter's Fifth Addition, aj part of the Northeast Quarter (NE4A), Section Five (5), Township Ten (10) North, Range Six (6) West of the 6th P.M., WHEREAS, said plat of Streeter's Fifth. Addition meets the requirements of the Subdivision Regulations of the City of Aurora, and the Statutes of the State of WHEREAS, the. Aurora Planning Commission has recommended to the City Council approval of the Final Plat to be known as Streeter's Fifth Addition, and the City Council on this date has voted for approval of this Subdivision; and BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Aurora, Nebraska, that the Final Plat of Streeter's Fifth Addition be hereby approved, and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute the approval of said plat, and cause the same to be filed as required by law. The motion Payton Best ofJ JEO Consulting Group reviewed the bids received the Aurora 1st Street Project. She stated the low bid was Mid Nebraska Land Developers. Councilor Phillips moved to award the bid for the Aurora 1st Street Project to the low bidder, Mid Nebraska Land Developers in the amount of $3,324,380.53. Councilor Roblee seconded the motion. Voting Aye: Bartling, Phillips, Lohrmeyer, Lackore and Roblee. Nay: None. Absent and not voting: Councilor Lackore moved to authorize the Mayor to enter into a subdivision agreement with Streeter LLC for Streeter's Fifth. Addition. Councilor Phillips seconded the motion.
