JACKSON Cemetery Meeting Minutes Wecnesday,amuay1120.3 COMMITTEE MEMBERS: Keith Davis, Chairman Debbie Collins, Committee Member Lisa Lucke, Committee Member STAFF IN ATTENDANCE: Bree Wilder, Public' Works Max Godde, Council Member Laurie Fishback, Sexton PUBLIC IN ATTENDANCE: None COMMITTEE MEMBER. ABSENT: Jim Laughton Chairman Davis called the meeting to order at: 10:00a.m. Chairman Keith Davis motioned to approve the agenda. Debbie Collins seconded the motion. 1. PUBLIC MATTERS NOT ON THE AGENDA None 2. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES No minutes to approve. 3. MAINTENANCE PROJECTS: (Public Works! Superintendent Updates) Bree reported no damage int the cemetery from the recent storms. Hei is still working with Levi Voss (Boy Scout Eagle Project) to build ow! boxes for the cemetery. 4. SEXTON REPORTS: Laurie reported that she has been in touch with Janice Tull from Texas whose great grandmother is buried in our cemetery. Currently there is no marker on the grave and. Janice has contracted a company from Sacramento to place a headstone. Bree and Laurie are to go out and find and mark the grave and give the information to. Janice and headstone company. (Ruhkala Granite). 5. COMMITTEE REPORTS: None to report. 6. DISCUSSION ITEMS: a. Coordination with Daneri's Need to coordinate with Daneri's regarding the Endowment Fee. Need to put procedures in place to make sure that the City of Jackson is getting the fee when Daneri's handles the sale. Will get guidelines to Keith to meet with Mike at Daneri's. b. Future Cemetery Clean Up Dates. Itwas suggested by Bree that the months would be March, June, and November. Review of the operations manual. Chairman Keith Davis brought up the municipal codes on our website are out of date. Pricing is also out of date. Also noted that the entire website regarding the cemetery is out of date. It was suggested Max Godde said he would, go over the municipal codes and present recommendations to our City Max Godde reported that he is waiting for an update on the headstones ordered from Mother Lode Plot sizes were discussed. Old section plots are 4'x9', The new section is 5'x10'. It was suggested that The community needs to bei informed that if an event is to happen at the cemetery it should be that Lisa Lucke submit al bid to evaluate and update the website. Manager. d. Pauper Headstones. Monument for the paupergraves. e. Plot size revisions. f. Events notifications. any new plot purchases would be 4'x9' but sold at the! 5'x10' price. brought to the committee for approval. 7.Other Business: a. Opening on the cemetery committee was brought up. Keith Davis would like to present toi the City Council that the bylaw requiring a committee member to reside in. Jackson city limits be changed. b. Keith Davis brought to our attention that California has passed al lawi for green burials. Ist this something d. The fencing around the Children's grave needs be expanded. There are 10 new names to add. Jackson Cemetery wants to investigate? $2,500 from City Council. When will that be funded? e. Look into the possibility of doing' "Green Burials". 7.
